Jo Ann Patrick passed away December 19, 2020. She was born November 3, 1928 in Good Hope, MS.
In 1969 she moved with her family to Irving, Texas where she lived until her passing. She worked for Frito-Lay as an accounting clerk for 20 years until her retirement in 1991. After retirement she enjoyed time with her grand children, following them to their sporting and musical events, volunteering at Irving Cares, and eating with all of her family and friends at Joe’s Coffee Shop. Jo Ann loved music of all kinds from doing the jitterbug, listening to Elvis Presley, singing in her church choir, and playing tambourine-on-stick with an entertainer at the assisted living facility she was in.
Survived by her daughter, Riche Louviere, her son, Anthony Patrick, her grand children, a sister, Louise Spann and numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles H. Patrick, her son, Joe H. Patrick, parents, Eddie Cassell and Maggie Vollee (Easterling) Bright, brother, Ealston O. Bright and wife Fran and brother-in-law Oscar Spann.
Jo Ann planned for her body to be donated to UTSW Medical Center for scientific uses and then for her remains to be cremated. Due to her health conditions, the family was unable to donate her body. Her ashes will be entombed with her husband Charles at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a much later date with her family members in attendance...BRFH
