RITES HELD AT WHEATON FOR SISTER OF ALFRED MUELLER - ELIZABETH [MRS. HERMAN] ABRAHAM.
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Elizabeth Abraham, 90, of Wheaton, and sister of Alfred Mueller of Rt. 1, Janesville, Wednesday afternoon, Nov 23, at the St. Johns Lutheran church in Wheaton with Rev. Kenneth James Port officiating. Internment was in the church cemetery. Pall bearers were grandsons of the deceased, Roy and Dale Hormann, Willis McElwain, Roger, David and Kenneth Abraham.
Honorary pallbearers were Ed Issendorf, Arnold Marxen, Howard Wohlenhaus, August Schumacher, O. Ted Hoxtell and Charles McElwain.
Mrs. Abraham passed away at the Traverse Co. Nursing Home where she was a resident.
Elizabeth Magdalene Abraham was born February 2, 1876 in Iosco Twp. to the parents, the late August and Louisa Mueller, where she was confirmed by Rev. Krumsieg on Mar 30, 1890. On January 2, 1895 she was united in marriage to Herman Abraham.
Surviving are four sons, Arthur, Edward, Ernest, and Max; one daughter, Mrs. Esther McElwain, five sisters, Mrs. Frank Romberg, [Minnie], Mrs. Oscar Spafford [Francis], Mrs. Karl Drankwitz [Ida]; Mrs. Elmer Fox, [Clara], Mrs. Art Stankey, [Elma]; one brother Alfred, 23 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and one great great grand child.
Preceding her in death were her husband, a daughter Myrtle, two sisters, Esther, and Adeline Wandrie, and three brothers, Ed, Walter, and Frank.
