Leslie Foster, 1954-2020, formerly Messner and proudly self-titled 'Gma', passed away after an unexpected stroke at the age of 66, surrounded by her family at home in Klamath Falls, Ore. on Dec. 16, 2020.

She was born in Van Nuys, Calif., and graduated from Fox High School in Arnold, Mo. Few knew of her hairstylist certificate as her special skills were reserved for the hapless men in her life, husband, son, and grandson alike.

Life brought her back to the west coast where she sold worker's compensation at the very beginnings of 401k's. She met and married John Will Foster III in Long Beach, Calif., and started a 14-year journey with him and his naval career.

A transfer took them to the Hawaiian Islands where two life-changing events occurred. John Will Foster IV was born in 1985 and Leslie purchased her first home computer. She started working from home, typing and printing disposition notes (before commercial internet), and built upon her skills through various jobs from streamlining a family law firm back in Long Beach, all the way to her own business, 'Just Call Leslie'. Her husband retired from the navy in 1995 and they moved to Klamath Falls to be closer to family.

She grew roots in the community by helping fix people's computer problems while raising her son and keeping her husband in-line. Recently, she phased into retirement with her loving husband and spent time investing in the community, sharing her love with family, and haggling at garage sales to rebuild her sewing room.

Leslie is preceded by John's parents, formerly of Sprague River, and her father who joined them in Klamath from Bishop, Calif. She provided the care they needed through their final days.

She is survived by her jokester husband and son, John III and John IV, her son's significant others, Mandy and Jordan, and her grandchildren, John V and Mary.
