Graveside services for Richard D. Newton, 76, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in the Fairlawn Cemetery with Reverend Johnny Steiger officiating.

Richard D. Newton was born July 8, 1944 in Savanna, Oklahoma, the son of Oscar Lee Newton and Tola Mae (Butler) Newton. He passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Richard grew up in Chickasha and went to Chickasha schools until the 9th grade.

He mowed yards for 40 years or more and also cleaned up dry wall for many years.

He was preceded in death by both parents, daughter Rita Gay Newton, seven brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his daughter Sherri Newton of the home; brother Dean Newton and his wife Karen of Chickasha; three sisters Mae Delozier of Ada, Jenny Barryman of Ada, Sue Jones and husband Garry of Ninnekah; many nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
