Nancy Coleman, 87, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Dow Rummel Village.

Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Miller Funeral Home 507 S. Main Avenue (masks required). A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 28, 2020, at Hope Lutheran Church (masks required) with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Nancy Lee Barber, daughter of Harley and Mary (Wagoner) Barber, was born on February, 5, 1933, in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School in 1951. Nancy worked in the office for the Sioux Falls Stockyards.

Nancy was united in marriage with Warner Coleman on April 4, 1958. The couple remained in Sioux Falls and began to raise a family. Nancy remained at home as a loving homemaker and hosted many get-togethers for Warner’s work.

Warner passed away on March 9, 1980. Nancy remained in Sioux Falls and opened Nancy’s Needle Nook, providing sewing supplies for Sioux Falls. A kind and generous woman, Nancy was known for her knitting, needlepoint, and cross-stitching. She made the best chocolate chip cookies and was an all-around wonderful baker. She was a long-time member of Hope Lutheran Church, ran the lunch committee for funeral services and provided countless amounts of Lefsa for the church bazaars. She spent time traveling and caring for her grandchildren and together they would play games and cribbage. On Saturdays she had a standing date to play cards with Albert, Robert and Lori.

Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter Vicki Sievers and her husband Michael, Sioux Falls, SD; son Steven Coleman and his wife Jackie, Sioux Falls, SD; step-son Robert Coleman and his wife Donna, PA; step-daughter-in-law Mary Coleman, IA; brother Albert Barber, Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren Jesse and Jacob Sievers, Angie, Andy, and Tim Coleman, Adam and Mindy Gallagher, Ashlee and Amos Ferguson, Cory and Becky Gallagher, Rob and Stacey Coleman; special niece Lori Karstens and her husband Robert; and many other relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Warner, step-son Ronald Coleman, sister Betty Pascoe, grandson Dick Coleman and granddaughter Jackie Coleman.
