Mrs. Patricia J. Applegate, age 83, of Pekin, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mrs. Applegate was born December 9, 1937 in Henryville, Indiana the daughter of Dude and Dorothy Tabor Beasley. She was a member of Douglas Church of Christ. She was a former employee of Morgan’s White Kitchen and Indian’s Theatre and she worked for the Federal Government and retired after 27 years. Pat was a graduate of Salem High School Class of 1955 and Sunset School of Missions in 1972.

Pat married Glen Applegate on August 28, 1958 and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son: Jim Applegate, her son-in-law, and a great grandson: Jacob Fleenor.

Pat is survived by a son: Scott Applegate (Kim) of Pekin, her daughter: Marijane Crofford of Jeffersonville, daughter-in-law: Ann Applegate of Palmyra, a sister: Diana Givans of New Albany, a brother: Bobby Beasley (Martha) of Salem, eight grandchildren: Dustin (Kristi) Fleenor, Nicholas (Mariah) Applegate, Kori Jo Applegate, Kentrell Applegate (Alex), Samantha Applegate, Andrew Applegate, Keenan Shanks, six great-grandchildren: Hunter Fleenor, Glen Applegate, Hansley Applegate, Kane Shanks, Malayna Lamb, Jameson Lamb, Harrison Applegate, and Ruger Woods, and Cheyenne Woods.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at Westview Christian Church at 7PM with Johnny Beasley officiating. Visitation will be concurrent with her son, Jim, at Westview Christian Church from 9AM-time of service. Burial will be private in Olive Branch Cemetery.

The services will be livestreamed on Westview Christian Church Facebook page. Masks are required and only 50 people will be allowed in the building for visitation at one time.
