Born May 14, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Estill and Pauline Fannin Emmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, John Vanhorn and Hurl Johnson, and one sister-in-law, Mary Emmons.
Janet is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Earnie Ralph Weaver, whom she wed January 30, 1963; two daughters, Theresa Hollan and husband Phillip of Morehead and Donna Jenkins and husband Scott of Crain Creek; one son, Vincent Weaver and wife Francis of Crain Creek; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Other survivors include three sisters, Diana Vanhorn and Jenny Kinsman and husband Eddie, all of Wauseon, Ohio, and Wynonia Johnson of Hillsboro; two brothers, Jimmy Emmons and Roger Emmons, both of Hillsboro, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Janet was the secretary for Shepherd’s Industries for 29 years. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved spending time with family, especially the grandchildren, and greatly enjoyed decorating for every holiday. Christmas time was her favorite. Janet was a faithful longtime member of Fox Valley Community Church. She loved going to church and helping people. About 20 years ago, as a part of church, she founded the toy ministry which has helped countless local families in need during the Christmas Season. Janet will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by those whose lives were touched by her earthly journey.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Darrell Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandchildren: Blake Jenkins, Nich Hollan, Matthew Jenkins, Cody Hollan, Christian Jenkins, Dustin Neace, Cameron Jenkins, Hannah Weaver, Mitchell Hollan, and Marcus Weaver.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
