Thomas Anthony Tucker, 86, of La Crosse passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Mulder Health Care from COVID-19. Thomas was born July 3, 1934, in Ashland, Wis., to Dr. William J. and Edith Shea Tucker.
He was later joined in marriage to Colleen Tucker on July 8, 1983, in Ashland, Wis. After moving to La Crosse, Colleen and Tom spent their free time at their cabin on Eagle Lake near Delta, Wis. Thomas was an avid reader, humble philosopher, astute conversationalist and collector of books. He also enjoyed growing and tending plants and bird watching.
Thomas is survived by his brother William J. Tucker Jr., his nieces and nephews; close friends, Amanda Halderson Jackson, Debbie Erickson and Beth Satori; and step-sons, Steven and Rod Starcke.
He was preceded in death by his wife Colleen, his parents; his sisters, Ellen Tucker Murphy and Catherine Tucker DuPois; and his brothers, Edmund and Peter Tucker.
Many thanks to Brookdale Senior Living where Tom called home the last several years and the staff of Mulder Health Care these last two months for the care that they provided.
