A catered memorial service will be held at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home in the late Spring of 2021, date to be determined.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to so many. Over the years she was a very active member in the Procter & Gamble “Old Soapers” retiree group. Their trip to England was one of her favorite memories. She was an artist, both a painter and crafter. She was an avid gardener with a “green thumb”, previously a member of the Shawnee Garden Club, and the Rose Garden Club. Barbara had a beautiful soft voice and did some singing and radio commercials in her early years. She had a keen sense of humor and a kind heart. The kids and grandkids have fond memories of laughing together while playing “Yahtzee” and other games. She loved animals, and supported both the ASPCA and the Humane Society. The family would appreciate donations in her memory to these organizations in lieu of flowers.

Barbara was born on August 15, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Audree Frances Stacy and Henry “Hank” Arthur Stacy. She was a 1952 graduate at Westport High School in Kansas City, MO.

Barbara married Harold August Keay in 1952, residing in the Kansas City area. She was a loving wife and mother to their four children. Harold passed away in July, 1969. Barbara is survived by their children; Chris Ann Berry (Danny) Olathe, KS, Terri DeMuynck (Richard) Peachtree City, GA, Andrew Keay (Jodi) Piper, KS, and Elizabeth Peterson (Art) Augusta, KS. Eight grandchildren; Brent Berry Taos, NM, Kelly DeMuynck Peachtree City, GA, Erin Bowles Peachtree City, GA, Sarah Kellogg Bend, OR, Katie Bogue Morgan Hill, CA, Will Peterson Augusta, KS, Drew Peterson Birmingham, AL, and Rachel Peterson Denver, CO. Granddaughter Stacy Walker preceded her in death August, 2017.

Barbara later married Jerome “Jerry” D. Coleman in 1971, building a house in a golf community residing in Piper, KS. They were happily married, enjoying activities with the P&G retirees group, traveling, and their many friends and family. Jerry passed away in August 1992. Barbara is survived by Jerry’s children, Nancy Weeks Bonner Springs, KS and Jerry Coleman Jr. St. Charles, MO, with five grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Barbara and Jerry were preceded in death by grandson Todd Weeks.

Barbara married Lester “Andy” Anderson in November 1994, residing in Lenexa, Kansas. They met at a Procter & Gamble retiree group picnic and continued to enjoy travel and activities with their P&G retiree group, their family and their sweet dogs. They were happily married until Andy passed away in September 2018. Barbara is survived by Andy’s children; Bernadette Angello Sacramento, CA, George Anderson Sacramento, CA, Kathleen Roy Minneapolis KS, Daniel Anderson Destin, Florida, Jennifer Leaf Shivnan Napier, New Zealand; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
