1948 - 2020
Fox, Fred Ypsilanti, MI At the age of 72, Fred Thomas Fox was called home to the Lord Sunday, December 6, 2020. Fred was born June 4, 1948 in Wyandotte, MI, the son of William and Anna (Rodgers) Fox. He left school at an early age to help provide for family, but was educated in so many other ways. He was employed at Fort Motor Company until he retired in 2009 after 42 years of service in the assembly area. He married Jeanette Bailey June 28, 1997 and resided in Ypsilanti. Fred loved the Lord and was dedicated to serving him. He was a member of Burning Bush International Ministries where he served as a choir member for a short time. One of the most important things in life to Fred was family. He was always full of laughter and surrounded by family and friends. You couldn't leave a room without him telling a joke or asking about the score of a sports event! He loved old cars, sports, traveling and good food. His nickname was "Pacman." Fred was a loving husband, father, brother and friend and will be deeply missed. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 23 years, Jeanette; two stepchildren, Alan Brown and Andrea (Michael) Ferguson; his pride and joy, seven grandchildren, Isaiah Brown, Cristina Bessant, Sincere Saunders, Alundre Brown, Gabrielle Ferguson, Zipporah Miller and Lauryn Ferguson; great granddaughter Arya Bessant; four brothers, Richard, Clyde Nelson (Rosetta), William Jr. and Kenneth (Gina); one niece Katie Emala; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Katherine Emala and daughter Alexis Miller. The funeral service will be 12 noon Monday, December 14, 2020 at Stark Funeral Professionals where the visitation will be from 11 am until time of service. Bishop Don W. Shelby Jr. will officiate. Private entombment will take place in Knollwood Memorial Park. Please sign his guestbook at starkfuneral.com
