Shirley Ann Lester Ellis, 66, of Oceana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Shirley attended Clear Fork Valley Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending the Women’s Mission Society and helping with Vacation Bible School. She also attended The Well church. Shirley worked for Goodson’s Supermarket in Oceana for thirty-three years. In her spare time, she was an Avon representative. She loved helping people.
She was born on July 15, 1954 in Beckley to the late Guy Lester (1922-1997) and Lorine B. Fisher-Lester (1930-2012). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda K. Lester (Deceased) and Sandra K. Lester (1952-1972).
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Nathan Lester of Oceana; sister, Patsy Sue Lester-Miller & husband Gary "Bo" Miller of Kopperston; three brothers, J.C. Lester & wife Marlena Lester of Oceana, Larry Lester of Beckley and Bernard Lester of Lynco.
Her services are private.
