Mrs. Yvonne Otto was the housemother of St. Francis House Episcopal Student Center in Madison, Wisconsin from at least 1953 to her retirement in 1965.

Born Beatrice Yvonne Roy in Montreal, Canada in November of 1896, she had three children with her first husband, Swiss born Curt Wildi: Richard born in 1923 who died tragically in a plane crash in 1957, Jacqueline, and Suzanne. Yvonne was widowed the same year Suzanne was born in 1929. All the children took the surname of Yvonne's second husband, New York State native, Rev. William R. Otto who she married sometime in the 1930s. Fr. Otto had served parishes on Long Island and Buffalo before coming to Oshkosh in 1939 to serve Trinity Episcopal Church.

Sometime in the years following Fr. Otto's death in 1946 she took the position of housemother supervising the residents at St. Francis house, first mentioned in the papers there as housemother in 1951. Living in the second-floor apartment she was well known for serving tea every afternoon at 4 p.m., a very English tradition that she shared with her fellow Canadian chaplain, Fr. Gerald White. When he retired in 1964, Mrs. Otto stayed on for another year but left on the eve of major construction when a new chapel was added to the house. The Rev. Claud Thompson replaced her.

Following her retirement, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to live next door to her daughter. She died nine years later in San Diego.
