Nancy L. (Hermes) Jenkins, age 84, of Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Golden LivingCenter in Greenfield. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 4, 1936 to Harry A. and Opal M. (Limbert) Hermes. She graduated from Stivers High School in Dayton, Ohio. Nancy married Cecil W. Jenkins on September 5, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio.
She was a talented seamstress for many years. Nancy was a member of Bradley United Methodist Church, where she was a part of the women’s crafts group. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, knitting, and reading.
Nancy is survived by her children, James Jenkins, Larry Jenkins, and Patty (Tony) Ritchie; three granddaughters; one grandson; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn McAdams. She was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Opal Hermes; husband, Cecil Jenkins; and sisters, Reva Mae and Carol Jean.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Park Cemetery, 621 S. State Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Pastor David Scifres will be officiating. As a reminder, the government mandate requires guests to wear masks. We are limited to a capacity of 25 guests at a time and please practice social distancing.
