Shirley Brown Hamilton, 87, died Saturday after a brief illness. Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Byron Baptist Church, 100 West White Road, with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating and burial following in Macon Memorial Park. Facial coverings will be required and social distancing observed.
Born in Macon to the late Drewie and Lenora Brown, Mrs. Hamilton was a long time member of Byron Baptist Church and held secretarial positions in several local businesses. She also enjoyed volunteering as a Peach Lady at Peach Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Pam Carver (Bennie) and Deena Youngblood (Stanley); nine grandchildren; fourteen greatgrandchildren; several great greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Louise Pollard (Gene). She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Hamilton; daughter and son in law, Patty and Hank Harvard; son, Darren Hamilton; and a granddaughter, Michelle Wallace.
