Age 78. Passed away Feb. 16, 1959. Mr. Amundsen was born in Oslo, Norway, on March 12, 1880, and came to Racine in 1902. He had been a foreman at the Dumore Co. for 20 years, retiring nine years ago. Prior to his employment there, he had been a foreman with the Webster Electric Co. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church where he had been very active for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Agnes; four daughters, Mrs. George (Dagny) Jorgenson, Mrs. Walter (Marie) Hess, Mrs. Trygve (Alice) Larsen and Mrs. Harold (Agnes) Hegge, all of Racine; one brother, Joseph Arneson, of Racine; three sisters, Mrs. J. Jacobsen, Texas, Mrs. Alfred Arneson, California, and Mrs. Sverre Engstrom of Norway; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 19, 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home, Rev. Laurence R. Rasmussen officiating. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1139 Blaine Ave., Wednesday afternoon and evening.
