Stacy Elaine Harden Shields, was born January 21, 1967 in Barnesville, GA. She was raised by her grandparents, Bennie Lee Harden, Sr. and Arlena Foster Harden, as their own. She attended Lamar County Schools and was in the class of 1985. Stacy worked for the City of Griffin for many years as well as various other customer service jobs throughout her career and was loved by many. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching tv and talking about her family. She especially loved spending time with her granddaughter, Shaniyah. Stacy lived in several locations in Georgia throughout her life but found her way back home in recent years to Barnesville to be closer to her family. Stacy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend. She was sweet and kind to everyone she came in contact with. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bennie Lee Harden, Sr. and Arlena Foster Harden . She departed this earthly life on October 30,2020, leaving all the pain and suffering behind. She leaves to cherish her loving memories a daughter, Macy Elaine Thrash of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter, Shaniyah MarShae Thrash of Atlanta, GA; sister , Cassandra Harden Jones (Harold) of Griffin, GA; brothers, Chris Powell (Mirriam) of Stockbridge, GA, Keith Powell (Angel) of Riverdale, GA; Cousins raised with her as brothers, Rickey Harden and Ronnie Harden (Bertha) of Barnesville, GA . Nephews she adored, Chauncey Maurice Harden (Neche) of Griffin, GA; Courtland Michael Dickerson (Kurby) of Aviano, Italy, a niece she adored as well, Chaundra MarShae Brownlee (Quinilly) of Griffin, GA, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
