RIPLEY - Thelma A "Pert" Shinn Rawlings, 80, of Ripley died Nov.3, 2003, in Eldercare of Ripley.

Born June 29, 1923, in Ravenswood, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Martha Stanley Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Shinn; brother, Charles Anderson; and sisters, Marg Adams and Pauline Lewis.

She was a retired employee of the federal government and attended Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Rawlings of Ripley; daughter, Martha L. Taylor of Chapel Hill, N.C.; granddaughter, Katie Taylor of Chapel Hill; brother, Paul R. "Bard" Anderson of Mason; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, in Ravenswood Cemetery.
Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, is in charge of arrangements
