Bob Ritter was born on November 21, 1928 and passed away on December 7, 2020. Preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Zilpha Ritter and an older brother, Sam, Jr. He is survived by his wife Olga; daughter, Kari (Rob); grandsons, Robert, Steven, Daniel and Matthew; step- granddaughters, Tanya and Nicole (Ryan); his younger brother Jack (Mary); nieces, Diana and Laura (Robert) and grand-nephew, Alexander.Growing up in San Diego,
Bob became an Eagle Scout while attending Point Loma High School. A member of the Class of 1946 he graduated and then immediately enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps (U. S. Air Force). After discharge he entered San Diego State College, graduating in 1953 with a Business Major.After college he went to work in the credit and insurance businesses before finding his true calling, teaching. He was on the opening staff of San Pasqual High School and retired from there in 1994.Retirement found Bob and Olga traveling in their 5th-wheel trailer with the goal of visiting all 49 continental states. This they achieved in 2008.Bob mentioned often that "All in all we've had a pretty good life".
A service for the family will be at Miramar National Cemetery soon.
