She was born in Danville, IL, on December 24, 1923 the daughter of L. D. and Lulu (Cundiff) DeFord. Virginia married Irven J Myers in Peru, IN on January 17, 1943 and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2017.
Virginia was a homemaker and attended the New Song Church in Wabash, IN. Family was very important to Virginia and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother .
Surviving are sons Dennis Myers and his wife Penny, and Dale Myers and his wife Rose Marie, grandchildren Larry Myers, Kay Long, Lonnie Myers and Rex Myers, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Irven, one brother and four sisters.
Family and friends will gather from 1:00-3:00 PM Tuesday at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home. A service celebrating the life of Virginia A. Myers will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N Main Street, Amboy, IN, with Pastor Tony Mercer officiating. Burial will be in the Clymers Cemetery.
