Morris Randal “Randy” Evans was born on April 25, 1959 in El Dorado, Arkansas and departed this life on December 14, 2020 at Baptist Health in North Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 61 years.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Evans.

Randy is survived by his wife Tarah Barber Evans, married March 16, 2015. His parents Morris Allen “PeeWee” and Dorothy Greer Evans, his sister, Laurie (Dwayne) Mayfield, his children Michael (Kimberly) Evans, Ashley (Larry) Kussman. Also surviving are his children he was so honored to adopt, Grace Evans, Nate Evans, Isaac Evans, and Catherine Evans.

In addition to his wife and children Randy was truly blessed with 8 grandchildren that survive: Claire, Jake, Owen, Sarah, and Daniel Evans, Adam and Brycen Kussman, and his namesake, Shepherd Randal Evans.

Randy was a graduate of the 1977 class at Junction City Arkansas High School.

He enjoyed a rewarding career in the Safety, Security, Health and Environmental fields. At the time of his death, he was the Safety Manager at Resolute FP in El Dorado, Arkansas. He also enjoyed serving as a Paramedic at Pro Med Ambulance and as the Fire Chief for Faircrest Volunteer Fire Department,

Randy was an avid outdoors man, who loved hunting and fishing. He always enjoyed watching College Football (WPS), and his children’s sporting events. He loved cooking for his family and watching cartoons with his wife, Tarah.

One of his favorite memories was when he helped build and host the many events at the Evans Rodeo Arena with family and friends.

Young’s Funeral Directors will conduct a private burial with immediate family in attendance at Smyrna Cemetery, with Pastor Jason Yarbrough officiating.
