Martha B. Butterfield, 95, of Parkersburg passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Worthington Manor Nursing Home.

She was born May 20, 1911, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Harvey D. and Stella Williamson Dotson. She worked at the American Viscoe, was a homemaker, and a member of the Pursley Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons, Tom D. Butterfield and his wife, Nina, of Pursley, W.Va., and William O. Butterfield and his wife, Linda, of Williamsburg, Va.; two daughters, Leona R. Derr of Michigan and Alverda F. Stanley of Parkersburg; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil O. Dotson of Parkersburg and Dale E. Dotson of Vienna; and two sisters, Estil Butterfield and Josephine Florence, both of Parkersburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Butterfield, and one brother, R. Ray Dotson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna, with Ron Laughery and Phil Grear officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call 1-8 p.m. Monday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, and one hour prior to services at the church.
