Richard “Dick” Nathan Day Age 90, of Cumberland, WI died Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Cumberland Care and Rehab. He was born on March 2, 1930 and was married to Bessie “Pat” Jones.

He was survived by his daughter, Iris Day, husband Glen Goytowski; granddaughter, Katie Vinson, husband Blake Vinson; 3 great grandchildren, Emily, Jaxon and Olivia Vinson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie “Pat” Day. Special Friends Tracy, Darcy, Allie, Craig and Deb - the people from the corner bar who loved Dick and was so kind to him.

Dick was a Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a snow shoe race finalist in 1981 on his 51st Birthday for 83 miles from Superior to Rice Lake Dick’s passions were fishing in Rice Lake with his Pabst Blue Ribbon and Cigars. He taught his little buddy, Katie how to fish; he loved college sports and the Green Bay Packers. He fed many squirrels in his lifetime with a continuous stock of nuts for them.

A special thanks to the Cumberland Care and Rehab, the Wound Clinic, and to Ashley his nurse who was there in the end of his life. Thanks to Jamie his hospice nurse from St. Croix Hospice. Services will be held at a later date. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is in charge of the arrangements.
