Born on November 5, 1933, in Hopkins County, Kentucky, to Raymond E. Edwards and Mary E. (McCraw) Edwards, Pastor Earl was raised in the Hopkins County area.
In his early years, he worked as a butcher for the IGA of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; as a jeweler and watch repairman at Bryant’s Jewelry of Madisonville, Kentucky; as a jewelry salesman for Zales Jewelry of Tampa, Florida; and was an Army veteran.
Later, he and his wife, Brenda served in various ministries from group homes for troubled youth to the mission fields of Guatemala and Mexico. They also traveled for a time, with Norel Hayes Ministries producing tapes for outreach.
Pastor Earl last served as minister of Faith Christian Fellowship in Clinton, and Hydro.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Raymond E. Edwards and Mary E. (McCraw) Edwards Williams; step-father, Herbert Williams; sister, Eula May (Edwards) Morton.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda J. Edwards of Hydro; daughters, S. Renee (Edwards) Adams and husband Dennis of Princeton, Kentucky, Cathy (Edwards) Fuller Diaz of Spring, Texas, Barbara (Edwards) Maloney and husband David of Broken Arrow; grandchildren, Daniel (Nicole) Adams and J.T. (Kallie) Adams of Princeton, Kentucky, Adam, Aimee, Andrew, and Aaron Fuller of Texas, Joel and Christie Maloney of Oklahoma; and 12 great-grandchildren.
There will be no public services.
