Rachel Wanda Epperson, 88 of, Jackson, Tennessee died on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Maplewood Health Care in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, June 23, 1932 in Eaton, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Garland Olen Grimes and the late Mamie Pauline Drumright Grimes. Mrs. Epperson was a retired associate for Wal-Mart and a member of the South Jackson Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mrs. Epperson will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 21, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. John Forgy and Bro. Ray Pack. Interment will follow in RoEllen Cemetery in RoEllen, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Epperson will be Monday, December 21, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, James Dennis Epperson (Sherry) of McKenzie, Tennessee; one daughter, Sandra K. Jordan of Jackson, Tennessee; three brothers,Loyd West Grimes of Humboldt, Tennessee, Ronnie Olen Grimes (Donna) of Camden, Tennessee and Dale Mitchell Grimes (Wanda) of Trenton, Tennessee; four sisters, Doris Jean Rice of Alamo, Tennessee, Jane Graves (Sonny) of Medon, Tennessee, Julia Lessenberry of Huntingdon, Tennessee and Linda Plunk (Lonnie) of Griffin, Georgia; five grandchildren, Amy Nicole Bercik of Dover, Tennessee, Jeremy Brent Epperson (Melissa) of Henderson, Tennessee, Chad Weston Bynum (Ashley) of Jackson, Tennessee, Michael James Epperson of McKenzie, Tennessee and Matthew Ryan Epperson (Brookelyn) of McKenzie, Tennessee; thirteen great-grandchildren, Wesley Vinson, Kaleb Bercik, Abbie Epperson, Kale Epperson, Nicholas Bercik, Lacy Bercik, Mason, Epperson, Olivia Bynum, Lily Epperson, Izzy Epperson, Owen Epperson, Anna Kate Buckley and Cole Epperson and one great-great grandchild, Miyah Vinson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Epperson; ond daughter, Janet Diane Welker; two sisters, Betty Ann Dabbs and Janette Grimes and two brothers, Ernest Lee Grimes and Andrew Thomas Grimes.
Honoring Mrs. Epperson as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy Epperson, Chad Bynum, Michael Epperson, Matthew Epperson, Wesley Vinson, Caleb Bercik, Mason Epperson and Nicholas Bercik. Honorary pallbearers will be Kale Epperson and Owen Epperson.
