Born January 1, 1929, in Troy, MI, he was a son of the late Alexander and Hazel Mary (Potts) Carr, and was a graduate of Temple University High School. He was a U. S. Navy veteran who proudly served in both World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Carr was employed his entire working career with Bell Telephone. He was a lineman for many years and retired in 1988 as a building maintenance foreman in Philadelphia, PA. He was a long-time member of the Lower Gwynedd Lions Club and enjoyed time with his SPOFFS group. He loved his family dearly and cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his three children, Timothy Carr and his wife, Anne C., of Worcester, PA, Deborah Wiater and her husband, Mark A., of Sellersville, PA, and Jennifer Carr of North Wales, PA; six grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Peter, Jacob, Alexandra and Zachery; and a great granddaughter, Adelyn.
Family will receive friends for his viewing from 10-11am on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 3440 Skippack Pike at Cedars Road, Skippack, PA. The funeral service will begin at 11am and burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA.
