"Our mama was a beautiful lady with a giving heart who always had a smile on her face. She loved going to yard sales and thrift stores and could always find something special for everyone. Our mama loved Christmas and never showed favoritism. She went to great labor to make sure she spent the same dollar amount on everyone. Mama loved to sew, in her younger adult life she sewed our clothes when we
were little, even our underwear. She would sew country ruffled curtains for friends and neighbors when they were so popular. Mama loved sitting out back in her rocking Chair on her screened porch
drinking coffee with her sweet dog Raffe. Mama loved shopping for beautiful things -clothes-jewelry- anything to be going somewhere and doing something. She would shop from Sun up till Sun
down, then she would be so worn out she would sleep for 2 days! Literally! Mama loved to sing and watch music shows on TV -American Idol - The Voice Even in her younger years , she sang in a Quartet with Ralph and Martha McColumn who touched a lot of lives and received a lot of Amens with their anointed voices the lord blessed them with! Mama loved going to church and loved her church family. She had been a Long time member at Warrior Creek where they all picked up the nickname sunshine after hearing her husband call her that a few times. Mama had a standing appointment at Trendsetters on Saturdays to get her hair and nails done, there everyone called her "Pretty Woman"... One thing mama did enjoy was finding special little notes left by her precious husband Jim ... he would write them and leave them all over the house.
Mama was all of our "Ray of Sunshine" and will forever be missed." - Her Children
