Gloria attended Columbus City Schools. She was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School. She was employed at Nationwide Insurance Company as a Medicare Plan B Insurance Representative. She began her employment on October 2, 1971, until her retirement, June 30, 2002. In 1988, she graduated from Nationwide Beauty Academy. She also attended Columbus State Community College.
Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Conley, Jr. She is survived by her son, Willie Lee Mitchell, III; daughter, Alecia Monique Mitchell; sisters, Myra A. Conley and Patricia J. (Bishop William M.) Polley; beloved granddaughter, Giselle Monet Mitchell; aunt, Lillian Merchant; nieces, Catherine D. and Tonya R. Polley; nephews, James T. (Sherilynn) Hemphill, Jr., and Nicholas A. Conley; great nieces, Misha K.S. Hemphill, Iesha L. Polley, and special niece, Imani C. Stepney; great nephews, James-Dominique M. Polley, Devon D. and Demetrius F. Wade; a host of cousins and other relatives, and friends. She also leaves behind her dog, Mimi.
Family will receive friends Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 9am until time of service at 10am at Zion Christian Assembly, 6930 Motts Place Road, Canal Winchester, OH 43110. Interment Eastlawn.
