Roy Gene Whitehead was born on Tuesday, April 18, 1944 in Mountain Home, AR.  Passed away at home on December 16, 2020 at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 28 days.  Mr. Whitehead was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Jessie (Ritter) Whitehead, brothers, Leon Whitehead and Marvin Whitehead; sisters, Faye Singley and Patsy Thomas; daughter, Sondra Stotts Ader and wife of 54 years, Elizabeth (Marion) Whitehead.      Survivors included his son, Jimmy Dean (Kathy) Stotts of Trumann; daughter, Dr. Sara (Blake) Culbreath of Jonesboro; sister, Carolyn Ferguson; 6 grandchildren, Adam Stotts, Johnathan (Stephanie) Stotts, Christian Culbreath, Kailyn Lamberson (Corey Locke), Callie (Neiko) Rawlings and Cainan Culbreath; and great-grandchildren, Alma Joyce Stotts, Hollis Batton Stotts and Gunnar Hayes Rawlings and a host of family and friends..     Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Trumann.  A Celebration of life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ricky Dobbins officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.          Roy was a retired over the road truck driver.  He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and member and office of the Nettleton Masonic Lodge #657.  Marion was the love of his life and his guitar and music were his passion.
