He was preceded in death by parents, brother, Carl Johnson; nephew, Chauncy Dickerson; uncle, Maurice Harrison; brother-in-law, Kenneth Williams.

His hobbies included playing baseball, reading, poetry and he loved to draw. He always quoted, "Love Always, Your Uncle #2."
