Katherine L. Horner, 94, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital, Bedford. She was born March 27, 1926 in Lawrence County to Orin and Mary (Flynn) Crawford. She married Edward Horner on Feb. 26, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2016.
Katherine was a homemaker and a member of the Pinhook Christian Church. She enjoyed painting, quilting and decorating cakes.
Surviving to cherish Katherine’s memory are her daughter, Marsha (Jack) Silvers of Bedford; son, Brian (Tammy) Horner of Paris Crossing; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three children, Michael Horner, Linda New and John Horner; granddaughter, Cheryl New; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Don Crawford, Howard Crawford and Curtis Crawford, in infancy; and sister, Elma Stevens.
A private service for family members is to be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 with Bro. Kenny Dalton officiating. Burial will follow at Pinhook Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes of Bedford.
