James E. Raines, 74, of Decatur, IN, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. James was born on September 10, 1946 in Illmo, Missouri to the late Jesse Joseph and Hattie Belle (Cook) Raines.
On October 8, 1966, he married Andrea Lynn Hafley.
James attended New Hope Church, where he served as an Elder. He was owner/manager of S & J Truck Sales. James was a proud member of the NRA. He loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Andrea L. Raines of Decatur; a son, Steven Raines of Virginia; a daughter, Jody Lyne Whalen of the Caribbean; a daughter-in-law, Misty Raines of Roanoke; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Preceding James in death was a son, Michael J. Raines on December 16, 2015.
Visitation will be from Noon-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020 also at the funeral home. Pastor Kevin August will be officiating and burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.
