Steve served as Captain of the Sullivan County E.M.A. Rescue Division. He spent 40 years serving the community with the Sullivan County E.M.A., Sullivan County Sherriff’s Explorer Post, Bluff City Junior Rescue Squad, East Volunteer Fire Department, Kingsport Life Saving Crew and Painter Creek Marina Security.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Perry; and grandparents, Cecil and Gertrude Richards Perry; Fred and Velma Shoemaker.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Rhenda Ducker Perry; sons, Steven Riner and wife Haley, Adrien Perry; daughters, Brandi Crawford, Randi Crawford and husband Brian Baskerville;
mother, Sue Shoemaker Perry; five grandchildren, Aiden, Damien and Eli Baskerville, Koda Crawford and Finley Riner;
sister, Angie Luster and husband Ronnie; brother, Jim Perry and wife Anita; one nephew and four nieces.
Due to COVID-19 concerns a private graveside service will be held at Weaver Cemetery with Pastor Paul Griffith officiating. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charity of your choice.
