The spelling of Childs on this headstone has also been spelled Chiles from many other sources in Marshal Co., TN. His death date from the stone is hard to read, however, 08 Oct 1901 is on a photo in my possession, along with the name Chiles. Census records show Childs and/or Chiles at different times. Chiles is on his father's tombstone. The 1910 Census in TN for his mother, Mary Chiles, age 73, show her as mother of 2 children, 1 of whom was living at that time, so W. P. is probably the one who died between 1900 & 1910.
