Ila Ruth Catlin, 69, passed away in her home, surrounded by her family May 11, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. She was simply known as “Nana” to her family. Ila was born in Independence, Missouri to Pat and Viola McFarland Nov. 11, 1946.
She married Richard Catlin Nov. 14, 1969. Together, they moved to Toledo in 1973 and raised two children, Craig and Shannon.
Ila is survived by her husband, Richard; sister, Patsy of Hood River, Ore.; son, Craig (Larinda) Catlin; daughter, Shannon (JB) Ewers; four granddaughters who she adored, Nicole (Ben) Martin, Alyssa Ewers, Isabella and Chloe Catlin.
A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., at The Lone Hill Cemetery in Toledo. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at Shannon Ewers’ house located at, 210 Hankins Rd., Toledo, WA 98591.
