Carlene "Denise" Brown, age 59, of Knoxville, TN. went to be with Jesus on Friday, December 18, 2020. She worked in the insurance industry for 39 years where she enjoyed serving her customers in the community. Denise was a force of nature, who loved Jesus and was an active member of Redemption Church. She brought joy to all those around her and was a counselor to many. She loved spending time in the mountains, sitting and enjoying nature, especially, on her back porch observing her hummingbirds. She had a deep love for her animals, especially, Coco and Bubby. Above all, Denise was a graceful mother and devoted wife who left a legacy of joy and will be missed by many.
She is preceded in death by parents, Carl and Pearl McCulley and many aunts and uncles.
Denise is survived by her loving husband, John Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Nate Pratt; step-children, Tasha Brown, Jonnesha Brown, Denzel Brown and Carmilla Brown; loving Big Sister, Lawana McCulley; sister-in-law, Terri Robinson; God Children, Jamie Cruise (Steve), Jennifer Cagle and Jimmy Cagle; grandchildren, Ian, Isaiah, Kamari; Grand-Pups, Bocephus, Zeus and Thunder; adopted dogs, Joe Dirt and Sam
