Betty Jewel Hays, 89, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at her residence.
Betty was born on May 4, 1931 in Piggott, Arkansas to Jewel Rogers and Mary Drew Rogers. She had resided in the Six Mile Community for 45 years, having previously lived in Lufkin. She was a member of the Six Mile Aerobics Club and spent her life as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hays; her son, Patrick Hays; and her sisters, Johnny, Maxine and Frances.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Jackson of Dallas; brothers, Robert Rogers and Edward Rogers; a number of nieces and nephews; and her caretaker and friend, Denise Wiseman Dampher.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when we can gather safely.
