Sylvia Reese Burns,76, of Hamlet, died Monday, July 23, 2012 at her home. She was born in Florence County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Leroy and Eureka Aikens Reese.
Mrs. Burns was a waitress for many years at the Seaboard Train Station News Stand.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl M. Burns and a sister Sara Reese.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Hamlet and at other times at her home.
Surviving, A daughter, Janet Burns Jones of Hamlet; A son, Christopher Earl Burns of Hamlet. Her babies Molly and Maggie; Sisters, Carol Billingsley and husband Roy of Ashland, VA and Patty McLaurin and husband Ronnie of Cherry Grove, SC and their babies Daisy and Eureka; Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; one great great niece.
