ELKHART, IN. -- Debra L. (Bomer) White, 62, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away at home on Friday morning, December 18, 2020. She was born September 19, 1958 in Paw Paw, Michigan to J.D. and Shirley Bomer.

Debra was a 1976 graduate of Dowagiac Union High School where she participated in the girls choir. She went on to earn certification in stenography thereafter. Debra was a stay-at-home wife. She was an avid Young and the Restless fan for many, many years. Debra had an outgoing and friendly personality and became affectionately known as “Mama D” to all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Roosevelt White, maternal grandmother Audrey Gant of Chicago, Illinois, mother Shirley Bomer, daughters Shakesha Pratt and Tianna Warr, son Eddie Warr, brother Jevon (Kandy Woods) Bomer, sister Tomika (Paul Armstrong) Bomer as well as her grandchildren, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, J.D. Bomer as well as paternal grandmother, Roxie Kelley, uncle Robert Owens and aunt Sondra (Tina) Kelley.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.
