Lake City- Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Doty, 82, Lake City, were Monday at Presbyteraan church here, the Rev. Russell Stark officiating.
Pallbearers were Howard Moulds, Charles Snyder, L.E. Swanson, O.E. Van Horn, Gerald Staton and L.W. Sievert. Burial was in Lake City Cemetery.
Mrs. Doty died Sept. 2 at Crestview Manor, Webster City, where she had lived for the past several months. She had been in ill health for about a year.
Myrtle Beatrice Burley, daughter of Charles and Ida Murray Burley, was born Aug. 12, 1884, at Lake City, and lived here all her life.
On April 4, 1905, she was married to Guy Doty. They farmed northwest of town. Mr. Doty died in 1948. Mrs. Doty later moved into Lake City.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church and Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, Charles, Bellingham, Wash., and Jesse, Detroit Lakes, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. George (Maurine) Ott, Ft. Dodge; a sister, Mrs. Della Harshbarger, Polk City; a brother, Marion Burley, Lake City, and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, husband, two brothers and a sister.
