Paula S. Gentry, 71, of Waltonville, Illinois, passed away at 10:54 pm December 16, 2020 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born August 23, 1949 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Uhlan and Pearl (Donoho) Beckham. Paula married Ronald "Ed" Gentry on January 5, 1995.
In addition to her husband, Paula is survived by her sons, Kevin Pierce and wife, Chris of Missouri, Jason Pierce and wife, Ginger of Moro, Illinois; daughter, Bethany Johnson and Bryan Camden of Christopher, Illinois; step children, Ronald Gentry Jr. and wife, Cheri of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Mark Alan Gentry and wife, Debbie of Evansville, Indiana, Daniel Eric Gentry and wife, Maribeth of Seattle, Washington; and fifteen grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by infant son, Ryan Shane Pierce.
Mrs. Gentry loved the Lord and her dog, Sadie. She was a fantastic cook and loved fried chicken. Paula was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 10:00 am at South Hickory Hill Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois with her son, Reverend Jason Pierce officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Paula's honor to South Hickory Hill Cemetery.
