Emily Margaret Barnes, 35, of Potter Twp., passed away following a valiant battle with breast cancer, Wednesday, December 16, 2020, St. Margaret Hospital, Aspinwall. She passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side.
Born December 1, 1985, in Beaver, she was the daughter of George W. and Mindy (Crawford) Barnes of Potter Twp.
Emily was a 2004 graduate of Center High School, a 2009 graduate of Geneva College, and received her Master's Degree in Education from Cal U in 2017. She was employed by PA Cyber School as a curriculum coordinator.
She belonged to the American Quarter Horse Association and the National Snaffle Bit Association. Emily was a kind, generous and loving person who was passionate about her horses and loved her family with all her heart. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are a brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Kara Barnes; her beloved nephew, Caleb Barnes; her aunt and uncle, Pam and Dennis Edmonds; two special cousins, Dr. Rebecca Edmonds (Dr. Alex Kline) and Amanda (Matt) Luczak, and her longtime boyfriend, Alex Fillo.
Due to COVID 19 a private service will be held at Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., CENTER TWP., 3475 Brodhead Rd., Monaca, Pa. 15061.
She will be laid to rest at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver, PA.
The family would like to thank the extraordinary doctors and nursing staff at St. Margaret Hospital for all their kindness and loving care.
