Barbara Jane Kruse, age 80, of Morenci, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian. She was born in Seneca Township on April 22, 1940, to Donald and Marie (Richardson) Roth. Jane attended and graduated from Morenci High School. She then married William Kruse, Jr. in Seneca Twp., on January 25, 1959, and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2019.
Jane worked for over 25 years as a housekeeper at Morenci Area Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed yard work, playing Bingo, and squaredancing. Her two favorite pasttimes were her grandchildren and riding the motorcycle with her husband.
Surviving Jane are sons, Jack (Peggy) Kruse of Wauseon and Dale (Dawne) Kruse of Richlands, North Carolina; 2 granddaughters, Taylor (Benjamin) Van Gorden and Kailey (Seth) Burkholder; brother, Jerry (Lizbeth) Roth; sister, Jean Brazee; and brother-in-law, Don Emmons. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Joan Emmons and Janet (Alan) Livingston; and brother-in-law, Ross Brazee.
Private funeral services for Jane will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020, with Rev. William Van Valkenburg officiating. Public interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM, at Eagle-Marry Funeral Home - Morenci Chapel. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and social distancing regulation, only a limited number of individuals will be allowed in the chapel at a time and facial coverings are required.
