Mrs. June M. Walker-Roberts, 79, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 1:58 am Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Richard L. Owens Hospice House in Peoria, Illinois.

June was born November 5, 1941 in Manchester, England the daughter of William and Lavinia (Miller) Walker. She married David Roberts in 1958 in Manchester, England. He preceded her in death.

June is survived by her son, David A. Roberts II of Temple, Texas and her daughter, Dawn A. Smith of Galesburg; her sister, Elaine (David) Dishong of England; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law, Phillip Smith and her sister, Beryl Roman.

June worked for the Secretary of State in Austin, Texas for several years. She graduated from high school in 1958 and Austin Community College in 1982. June had a love for crafting enjoying ceramics and knitting. She had a soft spot for rescuing animals. June was of the Catholic faith.

Her wishes were to be cremated. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
