Linda Jean Brandt, 57, of Albert Lea, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007 at her home.

Funeral services for Linda will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Church of St. Theodore in Albert Lea. Father John Traufler and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Adams. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. To sign the guest book go to www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Linda Jean Brandt was born on Sept. 11, 1950, to Kermit and Catherine (Brewer) Quale in New Ulm. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and graduated from Adams High School in 1968. Linda went to the Austin Vocational School of Cosmetology, graduating in 1969. She worked at Margaret's Hair Salon in Austin from November 1969 to May 1978. Linda married Paul R. Brandt on June 18, 1977. They lived in Hayward with their three children and where Linda worked at the pottery plant until it closed. She worked for Heritage Hill Group as a production manager/purchasing from May 1989 to December 1991. From February 1992 to 2004 Linda worked at the Eagles Club in Albert Lea selling pull-tabs for charitable events. In 2002 Linda moved to Albert Lea. She was a member of the Church of St. Theodore, the Albert Lea Eagles Club and Ladies Auxiliary. Linda enjoyed computer games, cross-stitching, beading and especially a trip she and John took to the Rocky Mountains. Linda was a very kind and loving person. Linda said she wanted flowers in life, not after. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or Crossroads Community Hospice are preferred.

Survivors include her mother, Catherine Quale; children Ryan J. Brandt, Timothy P. Brandt, and Katie L. Brandt; grandson Marcus; brother Charles Quale; nephew Christopher Quale; special friend of five years John Varness; many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Kermit Quale, and brother in infancy James Quale.
