Locust Grove, GA Mr. Charlie M. Brown, Jr, 68, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away Monday, December 7, 2020. Mr. Brown was born in Griffin, Georgia on September 10, 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Brown and Ruby Lavelle Neill Brown. He was a proud Veteran of Georgia National Guard having served 37 years, and was called to active duty during the Persian Gulf War. He was a devoted member of Abiding Love Community Church where he served as a deacon. Survivors include his wife, Karen P. Brown; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Becky Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Stephen Ensley; grandchildren, Seth Ensley, Blake Brown, Chandler Brown, Hunter Ensley, Caleb Ensley, Alexis Brown; sister, Vickie Rogers; brother, Jonathan Brown; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 10, 2020, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Conner-Westbury. Pastor Shane Brown and Pastor Becky Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens with military honors.
