Lawrence Edward McCoy, 83, of Shreveport, Louisiana, died December 15, 2020.

A visitation will be held at Kilpatrick Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Minden Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana.

Mr. McCoy was born May 6, 1937. He graduated in 1955 in Minden, Louisiana. He went to Louisiana Tech for a year and a half.

He proudly served in the United States Army and United States Air Force and was called to active duty in response to the Cuban crisis.

He worked at Riley Beaird for four years, Sperry Rand for seven years, Kast Metals for 25 years, and retired from Morris Dickson after 31 years.

A Baptist by faith, his hobbies included hunting, fishing and trapping.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Anita McCoy; his parents, Walter E. McCoy and Marguerite Agan McCoy; his brother, Walter Agan and sister-in-law, Mary.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Dronet, Jed Dronet and Donna Breedlove.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
