U. S. Army Veteran Was Iron Gate Resident
Terry Lee Haynes, 61, of 1001 Market Ave., Iron Gate, Virginia, died Monday, December 14, 2020 at LewisGale Hospital Alleghany, Low Moor.

He was born on July 1, 1959 in Covington, Virginia to the late Robert C. Haynes and Delberta Arritt Haynes.

He was a member of the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge #1683. He enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, being outdoors, and was of the Presbyterian faith.

He served in the U. S. Army for three years.

He is survived by his wife, Kawahna Persinger-Haynes of Iron Gate; a sister, Shannon Hise of Wisconsin; a brother, Mitchell D. Haynes and his wife, Rhonda of Smithfield Virginia; two aunts, Connie Fenton and Ruth Via; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert A. (Bobby) Haynes and Stephen W. Haynes.

In keeping with his wishes, his body was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
