Rockbridge County Native Dies In Ohio At Age 80
Beulah May Cochran Coleman, 80, passed away on December 6, 2020 at her home in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Born December 12, 1939 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Romie Cochran and Margaret Mayse Cochran.

She is survived by a son, Richard Alan "Ricky/Slick" Coleman (fiancé, Brenda Garrett) of Buena Vista, and a daughter, Karen Coleman Potter (fiancé, Thad "Posey" Flower) of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Beulah was blessed with a large family and is survived by five sisters and two brothers, Hazel Myers of Crescent City, Fla., Flossie Glenn of Belmont, N.C., Helen Bailes of Lexington, Bessie Schad (Floyd) of Fredericksburg, Linda Montgomery of Vesuvius, Henry Cochran (Donna) of Buena Vista, and Wiley Cochran of Vesuvius. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by an infant son, Gregory Coleman; two brothers, George Cochran and Joseph Cochran; and two sisters, Genevieve Gimmel and Mary Francis Coffey.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later date in 2021.
