Fort Worth, Texas - Eloise Lucille "Becky" Edwards was the third child born to Frank and Ranghild Becvar who owned a dairy farm in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. She rose early every morning along with her siblings, Doris, Maryann, Merlin, and Sonny to attend to farm chores of milking cows and cleaning stalls. After a hearty breakfast they strapped on their prized handmade skis made by their papa and skied to a one room schoolhouse miles from the farm. It was a welcome relief to sit by the cozy school woodstove where she developed a lifelong love of reading and learning.
After graduating high school at the age of 16, she continued her education in the new field of teletype/switchboard operator. She was then offered employment at Wright Patterson Air Force Base where she met and fell in love with her future husband Lester Eugene "Burley" Edwards. They resided in Fairborn and raised three beautiful daughters and one son.
Family and friends were always welcome at the Edwards lovely home where gatherings included much music, singing, dancing, laughter, food, fun and "cheers".
Becky was an accomplished accordion and piano player and performed at many local events. She could magically play any song requested without the need for sheet music. While living in Fairborn, Becky attended the First Church of Christ and enjoyed activities at the Senior Center and loved playing cards with her dear friends.
In 2018, she made the decision to relocate to Fort Worth, Texas to spend time with her son and daughter and their families. She resided at the Trinity Courtyard Retirement Center and formed many friendships with the wonderful residents and staff. She also enjoyed attending services at Turning Point Church with her family.
Becky's children would like to thank her many friends and family for all the love, kindness and support they shared with her.
