PORTLAND, Ind.--Mildred Basham, 60, a resident of Community care Center-West, died Friday in Jay County Hospital. She was born in Montezuma and was a waitress at Breezeway Restaurant.
Surviving are a son, Greg, Portland; three daughters, Linda Songster, Louisville, Ky., Barbara Burghduff, Spring Lake, N.C., and Mary Williams, Portland; a brother, James Robert Young, Nebraska; four sisters, Nedra Iliff Ellerbruch, St. Petersburg, Fla., Melba Carr, Logansport, Dora Cook, Miami, Fla., and Aleta Durham, Mesa, Ariz.; 6 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Portland. Calling is 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland Chapel.
